Hotel Riviera

Fantastic hotel with wonderful staff (special mention to the cleaners and breakfast crew). Breakfast is really tasty, fresh and offers a wide range of local products. The rooms are spacious, clean, have a great adjustable AC. The rooms that do not offer direct sea view still offer a great view of the private pool and the mountains (and the sea sometimes too!). The pool is quite big and despite perfectly catching the sun, also has nice shaded spots under the lemon trees and rose bushes. There are plenty of sun chairs and umbrellas. There is also a smaller pool for toddlers or just to sit and read with your legs in the water. The location is wonderful, a minute from the beach but not on the seafront, avoiding loud noises. Only 15 min walk from Mari Posa beach with dreamy sand dunes and pines and 20min walk to Alghero old town. There are countless bars, cafes, restaurants along the sea front and a great cycling lane. The hotel offers a reasonably priced rental of bikes with insurance. Bikes are great quality and are all terrain which is perfect if you plan to explore the many archaeological sites and natural reserves of the area. Finally, the hotel is located near the major public bus routes to go from and to the airport in less than 30min and for less than 2euro. Overall great value and quality, could not recommend more.

The rooms here are fine - it's practical that you can easily get a room with bunk beds in addition to the typical central bed. The bathroom had a lot of room, but it was a bit weird - the door always wanted to fall shut, and if the door was always shut it smelled pretty strongly of mildew. I can definitely recommend the breakfast though! You can order an egg any way you want it, and however you get it - it's really, really tasty.

We were on a family vacation. We were very satisfied. We had 2 rooms: enough space, modern, spacious bathroom. Very clean, daily cleaning, change of towels, linen, replenishment of hygiene needs. The location of the hotel is excellent (approx. 1 min. to public sandy beach, right next to umbrellas, bars where you can have something to eat during lunch). Promenade next to the beach with bars and restaurants, approx. 20 min. to the old town on foot. The breakfast was perfect, a rich selection, salty - excellent omelette, sweet - exceptional croissants and various cakes, and all the food was very tasty! There was no shortage of fruit. Be sure to have a coffee and a cappuccino. Very nice and professional staff! We have not encountered such an approach anywhere else in Sardinia. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Do not book directly from this hotel . I cancelled a booking weeks before the due date . The hotel mistakenly took a 1680 deposit from my account on 28 May despite admitting their error and promising a full refund in days and after several emails apologising and blaming their bank for the delay they have not returned my money today 6 July .
